We are the general partner of Senior Helpline 800 200 007 operated by Elpida plus, o.p.s.
Thanks to the support provided by O2 Foundation, seniors and people taking care of the elderly can contact the helpline toll free Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
The Senior Helpline is not a mere helpline, it is also an information and crisis intervention line. The elderly most frequently contact the line when they lose their life partner, face problems within their family, and in fact anytime when they have problems. Therefore, the help line offers a complex service to those who contact it including quality psychological assistance as well as necessary practical information and medical, legal and social security advice.
Mobile Handset for Seniors
In November 2009, Telefónica started to offer a new TALKpremium mobile telephone model by Emporia, an Austrian-based handset manufacturer. This handset is designed especially to meet the needs of the elderly, but is also suitable for people with disabilities, who find it difficult to use regular mobile telephones.
